The National Weathers Service of  Springfield has issued a HEAT ADVISORY beginning at noon today, June 24 and lasting through 8 pm on June 25.

Heat index values will climb up to 108. (feels like temps)

Those who live in southeast Kansas, central, and southwest, Missouri are under this heat advisory.

The hot temps and high humidity may cause heat illnesses quite quickly.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do outdoor work early in the morning if possible when temperatures are at their lowest.
